About the Author

Scott Sparks

Scott Sparks first imagined Echoes of Ashfall when he was about seventeen. At the time, it was an idea for a novel — a story that stayed with him long after life moved on.

Nearly three decades later, at 44, Scott returned to that old idea from an unexpected direction. What began as an attempt to turn an old novel idea into a game soon became something much larger. As he developed the world, he began discovering the characters in ways he hadn't expected.

“If I can build an app, I can build a game.”

And eventually, he realized there was a story that came before Echoes of Ashfall. That story became Road to Ashfall.

Scott is the creator of Terra, a world that continues to grow across stories and games. For him, the goal is simple: build worlds readers can step into and enjoy exploring.
